Here's a cool ';pony style'; that you can do yourself....





With your hair in a pony, section it into pieces and twist each section until it starts to twist up on itself.


(You can get a smoother twist by dampening your hair and using a spray gel on each section.)


Secure the end of each section using either bobby pins or use another pony-tail holder to hold it all in place.





You might also consider making your own hair accessory by using ribbon or flowers that coordinate with your prom dress and attaching them to a pony-tail holder or to hair pins.

if you have bangs in the from let your bangs hang then put it in a pony tail then curl the your hair thats left in a pony tail...

I did my own hair for my junior prom. I put my hair up in a pony tail and then did really thick curls. Use heavy hairspray.
Tell your hair dresser you want an up-do. Decide if you want elegant or funky. If elegant tell your hair dresser to leave a few strands down in spiral curls while you pull the rest back, curl it, and pin the curls into a bun type thing. When you pull it back, take about 2 or 3 2inch pieces and cross them over each other. You could also have her twist or french braid from the bottom in the back up to the bun. If you want funky you could 3-barrel curl it and then pull it up (my sister did this and it was really cute) or have them pull it back and kind of spike it.





If you can find a flower to match your dress that would be really cute tucked into your hair!
